Rising In The Midst of Chaos

My Beloved Family,

How are you?

I hope that you are well and that all those you love are safe and sound.

It is hard to believe 2020 is almost over and yet, every day brings with it a year’s worth of events to take in, digest and attempt to make sense of.

From the triple pandemic (COVID-19, economy, racial injustice) to the social dilemma to the loose cannon presidential campaign; it has become almost impossible to keep track of all of the layers that are being peeled back inside of our global consciousness right now.

We are awakening… and the world as we know it is unraveling before our very eyes.

And even with all of the questions, contradictions and not-so-divine revelations.

The time has come for us to re-emerge.

To don our respective and collective masks and venture back out into the wilderness.

There is so much speculation about the future and this new pseudo virtual reality we find ourselves in. And even more skepticism around whether we will ever return to a life where we are all the way LIVE again — i.e. unmasked, vibrantly face to face, comforted by human touch, etc.

Deeper still is the question of whether many of us with our newfound opportunities and challenges even aspire to go back as much as we recognize the need in every sense of the word to move forward.

In life
In work
In family
And in leadership

All of these crave to be redefined in whatever comes next and all of these will be different.

As we go forward, how will you find your feet? And what if anything will you carry with you to help forge the way?

In our Sacred Pause message, all of us were invited to take that blessed inventory — to engage in the 3 invitations to come home to ourselves, get our house in order, and re-align with our true nature and calling.

In our Getting Ready to Get Ready message, all of us were encouraged to tap into our own wisdom, to strengthen our inner reserves and turn our attention towards the things that really mattered.

And now as we begin our Divine Re-emergence, I want to give you a new set of practices that will help strengthen, fortify and guide you through this tsunami of defining moments.

I call this new set of protocols Rising In the Midst of Chaos.

Every single one of us has an opportunity to reap the profound gifts that have been embedded in the challenges of 2020. The gifts of re-aligning with our most sacred relationships — to SELF, SOURCE, and WORLD lay before us; like magnificent diamonds and pearls; offering the wealth of perspective we need to show up in our full-ness.

Because our full selves are what is needed right now.

Beyond all of the mechanics and logistics of this new reality is the conversation of people. The conversation of leadership and organization and culture — which is really the conversation of US — and the fabric of our relationships with ourselves and each other. Our future, quite squarely, depends upon our ability to live together, work together, and be WHOLE!

As we survey the chaotic landscape across all our various screens we know there is so much work to do. Work beyond what our eyes can see, work we can feel in the depths of our bones. But that work must have definition in order to take shape and form in our lives.

In order to move beyond the realm of best intentions and into the light of a new dawn we have to name it and claim it as our own.

So the fundamental question is;

What is your work inside of this larger work?

And how will you prepare to arrive in your fullness, so that you can make the contribution that wholly belongs to you?

In the coming weeks, all of us will have choices to make. Decisions about the direction we will take and how that might affect our quality life and experience now and in the future.

We’ll have to determine if we’re willing to accept the steep eroding of our society or if we’re ready to RISE in honor of something greater.

The state of our world will be whatever we say it is.

We will get whatever reality we are willing to stand for.

Now more than ever your voice is needed.

The person you long to be is in there — waiting for your answer.

Let’s do whatever it takes to RISE.
